In Year 2, students continue to strengthen their reading abilities by using various strategies to identify and decode words. They begin to understand that spoken and written language can serve different purposes and audiences, and they learn to create their own texts with these in mind. Additionally, they start to evaluate and reflect on both their own writing and the work of others.
