Duties of a Tutor
-
Driving to the Customer's home to provide the tuition service (20-30 minutes max drive)
-
Report to your Team Leader
-
Explain concepts and coursework relating to what the student is completing in their studies
-
Provide study advice, study tips, and examples of how students can complete their work with ease
-
In each 1-hour session, you will work with your students one-on-one
Sessions with your students will be focused on:

Building& Reinforcing Self-Belief: Developing the mindset of your students by building a positive relationship with them as their mentor.

Study Strategies: In your training, we will teach you how to support your students with their study strategies.
Foundational Subject-Specific Tutoring:
In each session, you will work with your students on:

Additional Study
​
After each session, you will complete the AfterSession notes on the CRM.​
Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the Recent School Leaver Work Program, you must meet the following criteria:
-
Recently completed Year 12 (or within the last 2 years)
​
We welcome applicants transitioning from school to work or tertiary study.
-
Academic capability in English and/or Mathematics
​
You do not need to be a top student—just capable, confident, and willing to learn.
-
Passion for working with children and young people
​
A genuine interest in helping students succeed is essential.

Strong communication skills
​
You should be able to speak clearly, confidently, and respectfully.
-
Commitment to reliability and professionalism
​
Punctuality, preparation, and follow-through are important qualities for this role.
-
Must hold or be willing to obtain a Working With Children Check
​
This is a legal requirement for all staff working with minors. If you don't already have a BlueCard, we will assist in obtaining one.
​

Obtaining a Driver's License
Currently on your P's or looking into driving and access to a motor vehicle.​
