Welcome to Year 2 Maths! This year, your child will explore units of measurement, number sequences and intervals, and basic data collection and interpretation.

Aligned to the Australian Curriculum

Students explore number theory concepts, including place value, number patterns, rounding, and basic operations like addition and subtraction. They also engage with fractions and sequences to develop a solid understanding of numerical relationships and patterns.

Place value of two and three-digit numbers
Order two and three-digit numbers
Counting forward and backward from a given number to 100 and to 1000
Round numbers to the nearest 100
Use the terms 'less-than' and 'more-than' to describe number sequences
